Pool Lifeguard Update
It is a requirement of pool lifeguards that they upgrade their skills and knowledge annually to ensure they are appropriately trained to respond to water-based rescues and emergencies.
During this program you refresh your knowledge of rescue techniques and resuscitation and demonstrate your ability during assessment.
This program is designed for those already working as lifeguards, who need to renew their current lifeguard training certification.

Pool Lifeguard Course (Annual Refresher)

HLTAID011: Provide First Aid
SISCAQU019: Supervise patron safety in aquatic locations
SISCAQU020: Perform water rescues
SISCAQU021: Perform complex water rescues
SISCAQU022: Provide oxygen resuscitation and therapy in an aquatic environment
We enrol you into an online program where you complete a theory component of the course, refreshing your knowledge of the requirements of a pool lifeguard once completed, you attend an onsite assessment day at a Belgravia venue near you, spending to be assessed in the requirements for the units of competency. Allow 1 day to attend the practical assessment.
Student Resources
Students need to be able to demonstrate fitness, strength, efficiency and speed to be able to perform water rescues and swim the required distances for assessment.
