Certificate III in Hospitality | Nationally Recognised Training | Belgravia Academy

This hospitality course is delivered in multiple ways:

  • Clustered delivery – 4 clusters, 1 cluster each term. Rolling intakes – students can commence the course at the start of a cluster (term).
  • Blended delivery – using virtual classrooms, webinars, virtual tutorials, online self-paced learning and practical application of skills completed during work placement.
  • Virtual Classrooms – upon enrolment and at the start of each cluster, students attend a virtual classroom during which an experienced trainer delivers an introduction to PROM, the course, expectations, systems and learning structures and materials.
  • Webinars – each cluster includes webinars on topics related to the cluster. These will be delivered throughout the cluster, usually fortnightly.
  • Virtual Tutorials – students are encouraged to attend virtual 1 on 1 or small group tutorials with a trainer to discuss their progress, ask questions, clarify learning and for any support needs. It is recommended students attend these fortnightly, alternative weeks to the webinars, but they can be booked at any time based on student needs.
  • Online self-paced learning – students are enrolled into the PROM learning management system where they access their online learning which they complete at their own pace. However, it is recommended that students endeavour to complete all tasks for the units within the term in which they are clustered.
  • Work Placement – practical application of skills is completed during work placement. For students completing the course via a traineeship, this will be ongoing during their work hours. Students completing the course via a non-traineeship pathway will complete 4 weeks of work placement. It is recommended that a 1-week work placement be completed at the end of each term but the placement can also be completed as 2 x 2 week blocks, or a 4 week block.

Students will be required to provide their Unique Student Identifier prior to the commencement of the course.

Students will also need to complete a “Pre-Training Review” which includes a LL & N and Support Needs assessment prior to enrolment in the course. This review will assist our training team in determining the suitability to the course for the student and help identify any learning support needs they may have.

During the registration process, we will ask you for your email address. This is a mandatory requirement for you to be able to access our systems.

As much of the course is delivered online via virtual classrooms, webinars and eLearning, students are required to have a computer or laptop that is fitted with a video conferencing camera, microphone and a reliable internet connection. The course is accessible on most computers, laptops and tablet devices. However, due to the small screen size, we don’t recommend completing the course on a mobile phone.

We use some of the latest eLearning technologies to deliver the courses. You will need to have a modern web browser to view and complete the course requirements.

Students will need to be able to access Microsoft Teams for the virtual classrooms.
