Overview

Sustainability is a critical component of business operations. By developing the skills and knowledge to measure, support, and identify opportunities for improvement, you will understand and utilise the benefits of sustainability in your work role.

This nationally recognised short course gives you the practical skills to harness opportunities to monitor and improve your sustainability.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Measure sustainable work practices by identifying methods relevant to your role, monitoring and recording resource usage, and analysing data to highlight inefficiencies.
  • Support sustainable work practices by following workplace sustainability procedures, recognising environmental hazards, and reporting breaches in line with organisational and legislative requirements.
  • Seek opportunities to improve sustainability by evaluating current work practices, consulting with colleagues, and recommending changes to ensure you meet the requirements of environmental regulations.

By completing this course, you’ll understand the benefits of sustainable work practices and how to apply them in your day-to-day tasks and collaborate with others to help your work area improve its sustainability.

BSBSUS211 – Participate in sustainable work practices

Successful completion of this unit counts toward accreditation for the Certificate III in Hospitality, Certificate III in Tourism, and Certificate IV Travel and Tourism (Holiday Parks and Resorts).

Unit of competency details: Training.gov.au

National Recognised Training for Certificate III in Tourism

  • Study is online and begins at the time of enrolment.
  • Once enrolled, students have up to six months to complete their studies.

Student Resources

  • Students will be required to provide their Unique Student Identifier prior to the commencement of the course. (TBC)
  • Students will require their own personal digital device with internet connectivity, such as a mobile phone, or tablet.
  • All students need to be able to read, speak and write basic English.
